Danielle Glatt
Danielle Glatt is a respected lawyer with a wide range of experience in commercial litigation and public law. Her commercial litigation practice focuses on shareholder disputes, securities matters, civil fraud, defamation, class actions, and insolvency.
Danielle is active in the legal community, working with Pro Bono Ontario, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, and Downtown Legal Services. Danielle has appeared as amicus at the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal and she has repeatedly intervened at the Supreme Court of Canada.
She is a regular speaker on civil procedure and anti-SLAPP legislation and has taught evidence and procedure in constitutional litigation at Osgoode Hall law school.

CryptoStar Corp. v. 611890 Alberta Inc.: Counsel to the defendants in an action alleging breach of contract, and negligent and fraudulent misrepresentation. Successfully resisted an interim motion for wide ranging interim relief seeking to tie up the defendants’ funds, assets and lands (2022 ONSC 2290 and 2023 ONSC 1824).
Romspen Investment Corporation v. Horseshoe Valley Lands Ltd. et al.: Court appointed representative counsel for a group of individual homeowners in a motion regarding a land rights dispute between two developers in a receivership proceeding (2022 ONSC 4352).
Just Energy Group Inc. et. al. v. Morgan Stanley Capital Group Inc. et. al.: Counsel to unsecured creditors in a CCAA matter (2022 ONSC 3487, 2022 ONSC 3470).
- R. v. Ramelson: counsel to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association in the Supreme Court of Canada concerning the proper application of the entrapment doctrine in digital spaces (2022 SCC 44).
Pace Securities Corp. et al v. First Hamilton Holdings Inc. et al.: Court appointed representative for a group of purchasers of preferred shares of Pace Financial Limited and First Hamilton Holdings Inc., in connection with the liquidation of those companies, resulting in settlements totaling in excess of 70% of the amount invested (reported decision: 2021 ONSC 6956.
- R. v. Zora: Counsel to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association in the Supreme Court of Canada in a case concerning whether the mens rea for the offence of failure to comply with conditions of undertaking or recognizance is to be assessed on subjective or objective standard (2020 SCC 14).
Confidential Arbitration: Counsel to the defendants in an oppression claim regarding a co-tenancy (2020).
Fanotech Enviro Inc. et al. v. TD Bank et al.: Counsel to the plaintiff in fraud claims against the individual plaintiffs and a claim against TD Bank in negligence. This matter involved motions for CPLs and a successfully defended motion for summary judgment brought by TD Bank (2019 ONSC 6643).
- R. v. Le: counsel to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association in the Supreme Court of Canada in a case concerning ss. 8 and 9 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (2019 SCC 34).
DBDC Spadina Ltd. et al v. Walton: Counsel to a group of companies in a receivership and oppression application in respect of numerous commercial real estate developments where $110 million in funds were improperly diverted by the companies’ principal. This matter involved dozens of contested motions and several appeals in respect of various commercial, real estate and construction law issues (2016 ONSC 6018).
