Congratulations to Emily Lawrence on new appointment

We are thrilled to announce that Emily Lawrence has been appointed our new Managing Partner.

Emily is a seasoned litigator, with significant experience in professional regulation, pension litigation, employment and labour law, constitutional litigation, civil disputes, and privacy matters. She is a recognized expert in administrative law, as counsel appearing before numerous administrative law tribunals, the co-author of a book on administrative law practice, a sought-after presenter on the topic, and adjunct faculty in administrative law at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Emily is a mentor and leader within the firm and the profession, She is currently the chair of The Advocates’ Society’s 10+ Committee. Emily has been at Paliare Roland for her entire career, starting in 2004 as one of the firm’s first summer students. She has been an active contributor within the firm and is responsible for recruiting many of our talented colleagues as head of our student program from 2012 to 2022.
