Catherine Dunne

Catherine Dunne joined Paliare Roland as an associate after working as an articling student at the firm. Catherine has a growing civil litigation practice with a focus on labour law, administrative law, and general civil litigation.
At McGill University Faculty of Law, Catherine volunteered with the Legal Information Clinic and the Centre for Research Action on Race Relations. She also worked as a research assistant to a law professor and interned with the HIV Legal Network.
Before law school, Catherine earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Western University, where she was President of the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance. Catherine graduated as the UWO Gold Medalist and a Rhodes Scholarship Finalist.

Cycle Toronto v. Attorney General of Ontario: Acting for cycling advocacy organization Cycle Toronto and two individual applicants seeking to prevent the Ontario Government from ripping out the spine of Toronto’s bike lane network on Bloor Street, Yonge Street, and University Avenue. Successfully (on the second attempt) obtained an injunction prohibiting the bike lane removals pending the issuance of the decision on the merits (2025 ONSC 2424 and 2025 ONSC 1650).
