Lauren Rainsford is a strategic and critical thinker who ensures that her clients achieve the best outcomes by crafting practical, effective and creative legal solutions tailored to their needs. Lauren joined the firm after working as a summer student and an articling student.

 

During law school Lauren volunteered as a caseworker at Advocates for Injured Workers. She also graduated with honours and won prizes for oral advocacy in the Willms and Shier Environmental Law Moot.

  • Megan Shortreed, Danielle Glatt and Lauren Rainsford successfully opposed a motion brought by the plaintiff for wide ranging interim relief seeking to tie up the defendants’ funds, assets and lands in Alberta. The decision provides a useful clarification on the law in respect of the interim preservation of funds pursuant to Rule 45.02. CryptoStar Corp. v. 611890 Alberta Inc., 2022 ONSC 2290
