Sonia Patel

Sonia Patel joined Paliare Roland as an associate after summering and articling at the firm. She then served as a judicial law clerk, first at the Court of Appeal for Ontario for Justices Feldman, Gillese, Nordheimer, and Zarnett, and then at the Supreme Court of Canada for Justices Moldaver and O’Bonsawin. Sonia has acted for a broad range of clients in commercial, civil, and public law disputes.

Sonia graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, where she was an active member of the law school community. She co-ran the student peer mentorship program and volunteered for Advocates for Injured Workers, the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly, and Pro Bono Ontario. Upon graduating, she was awarded the Stephanie Fleur Couzin Medal in Mooting for her involvement in the faculty’s oral advocacy program.
